A small and attractive old town in the mountains of Central Portugal. Access by road is is good up to Lousa and a little beyond,after which you are back to the old road, which twists and winds its way around the contours of the surrounding countryside.

This offers some wonderful views, a plus, but speed drops to walking pace from time to time.The town is accessed over this old stone bridge taking you over the river,just one way traffic.
